| I Have a Plan |
There were two guys who
wanted to run the nation and each had a plan. The one who was the incumbent was
a tax and spender (Reho) and when he spent all the money he swore he would
raise the taxes on everyone and true to his word he did just that. So heavy was
the burden that the people cried for relief but it was not forth coming and he
had plans to raise the taxes even more for his plan required much more money.
There was another guy that
also had a plan who promised to lower taxes and to stop all the foolish
spending for things the people didn't want (Jero).
Things went from bad to worse
and some of the people voted for the guy who promised better government and tax
relief. Still there were those who continued to follow the tax and spender and
it caused a split in the nation.
Then it happened; War! The
part of the nation which followed sound economical practices were strong and
the enemy didn't attack them but attacked the foolish tax and spender who spent
his money on foolishness.
There
was a nation (Egypt
The two sides were at each
others throat continually and neither side prospered due to the strong
disagreement between one with another. Finally GOD was fed up with both of them
for they denied Him as their God and went after other gods declaring their
nations to now welcome all other gods.
After this happened they were
taken captive for they no longer served the true GOD.
They rejected the words;
Exodus 20:3 "You must not worship any other gods except me.
Romans 1:28: And even as they
did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased
mind, to do those things which are not fitting. How foolish were those who disallowed GOD'S
word to them!
