SOON IT WILL BE MIDNIGHT

Midnight Approaches

Sleep is moving in, insisting that it is time to let it take over and rule the night. There are many foes that are determined to keep it at bay.

A child that hasn’t arrived home when it should have.

The need for studying for a test on the morrow.

Just have to see the ending of a movie on TV.

How to explain a wrong or failing, strategy.

The clock declares it is bedtime for it is midnight.  My body is crying out for rest and desires to be in bed.

My brothers faced the midnight hour having been beaten and in chains and in prison…

“The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten with rods.  After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully.  When he received these orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks”.

“But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them; and suddenly there came a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison house were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were unfastened.…

There are times when the midnight hour is the hour of deliverance for you.

A time when doors are to be opened and chains to be removed.

If (when) you have your own “Prison experience” it is time to take Paul and Silas’ example to heart.

At midnight be found praying and singing hymns of praise to God, until all the doors are open and everyone’s chains are unfastened.  This is important for it is seldom that there are no other people involved in your issues.

Remember each midnight is another opportunity to find release for yourself and others suffering the prison experience. The keys to the locked doors are found in praying and singing praise to GOD.

1 Corinthians 14:15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
